The target includes 466 multi-use establishments frequently visited by youth and children, such as PC bangs, comic cafes, and escape room cafes.

These measures were prepared to create a fire prevention environment considering the characteristics of winter and to carry out focused prevention activities.

The main initiatives include ▲ on-site administration by fire station chiefs ▲ surprise fire safety inspections ▲ outreach safety education for children alone ▲ fire prevention publicity to raise safety awareness among youth and children ▲ pre-removal of fire risk factors.

In particular, for 34 major locations, fire safety inspection teams from 13 fire stations will conduct fire safety inspections to check compliance with multi-use establishment safety management standards and safety education, verify whether emergency exits are blocked, and confirm if any internal structural changes hinder evacuation.

Choi Mincheol, Chief of Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters, said, “We will do our best to promote fire safety measures so that youth can use and enjoy facilities safely.”
