Gwangju Bank Signs MOU for Integrated Support of Socially Vulnerable Crime Victims

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank announced on the 16th that it has signed a business agreement with Gwangju Police Agency and Gwangju Autonomous Police Committee to establish an integrated support system for socially vulnerable groups related to crime.


Accordingly, the three organizations promised to closely cooperate to expand protection and support for local crime victims and to practice sharing through customized support.

Ko Byung-il, President of Gwangju Bank, said, “As a leading regional bank, we have been returning more than 10% of our net income to the local community through various social contribution activities. Through this agreement, we can make social contribution activities for socially vulnerable groups such as crime victims in the region more concrete and systematic, which is meaningful.”


He added, “Going forward, Gwangju Bank will continue to carry out social contribution activities that consider marginalized neighbors and socially vulnerable groups in the region, spreading a culture of sharing throughout the areas in need of help, and will do its best to fulfill the social responsibility of a leading regional bank.”


The signing ceremony was held on the 13th at the Gwangju Police Agency, attended by Ko, President of Gwangju Bank, Im Yong-hwan, Chief of Gwangju Police Agency, and Kim Tae-bong, Chairman of Gwangju Autonomous Police Committee.
