[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] As interest in artificial intelligence (AI) grows, MindsLab's stock is also showing strength. This year, as AI companies such as Saltlux and Konan Technology have seen their stock prices soar, MindsLab, which had a relatively smaller increase, is gaining attention.
As of 10:05 AM on the 16th, MindsLab is trading at 20,650 KRW, up 5.36% from the previous trading day.
Founded in 2014, MindsLab is a company that covers everything from core AI algorithms to engines, platforms, and services. At its founding, it received big data knowledge mining technology as an in-kind contribution from ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute of Korea), and its R&D division called 'Brain' developed over 30 AI engines including facial recognition, voice recognition, speech synthesis, and natural language processing technologies such as BERT-based text classification and MRC (machine reading comprehension), all of which are proprietary technologies.
On September 29 last year, MindsLab developed the maum.ai system version 1.0 and opened Orchestra on December 1. It started a business providing a full cloud-based AI system. It became the world's first AI platform that allows users to freely combine various AI engines to create services.
Maum Orchestra is a platform that enables customers to easily build AI services in their desired form by integrating even other companies' AI solutions in the form of APIs (application programming interfaces). On the maum.ai platform, customers can freely combine about 40 AI-related API modules developed by MindsLab itself with APIs from Google, Microsoft (MS), Naver, Kakao, and others to implement customized AI.
"The platform that creates hyper-personalized customized AI services in the form desired by individuals, companies, and institutions based on proprietary core AI technology will definitely establish itself this year," they emphasized, "The revenue share from the platform business is increasing, so there is great expectation for this year, which begins with a new mission."
When opening Maum Orchestra, Yoo Taejun, CEO of MindsLab, stated, "Since our founding, we have dreamed of advancing as an AI platform company and becoming a unicorn," adding, "We will expand service support so that domestic and international AI-demand companies can utilize the MindsLab AI platform."
