Strategy to Strengthen Freshness Competitiveness

Homeplus announced on the 16th that it has embarked on quality innovation based on data as a strategy to strengthen its freshness competitiveness.
Homeplus set four major goals to enhance freshness quality competitiveness: ▲raising internal inspection standards ▲managing appropriate sales periods ▲optimizing processing, packaging, and logistics movement ▲diversifying production regions, and carried out improvement work throughout the distribution process of key fresh items.
The number of customers and sales both online and offline have been steadily increasing. The number of customers at five major Homeplus Mega Food Market stores, which strengthened their fresh food assortment, increased by about 42% from October to December last year compared to the previous year. Sales of fruit and livestock products increased by 68% and 69%, respectively. Sales of fresh gift sets grew by about 66% from the 1st to the 12th of this month compared to the previous year.
A Homeplus official said, “We have meticulously designed a freshness quality management network from the perspective of customers who prefer high-quality fresh food,” adding, “We will secure competitiveness in fresh food and solidify our position as a ‘mart that customers can trust and purchase from.’”
