Policy Proposals Possible Through Multiple Platforms
Integrated Youth Policy Information Website
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam, has consolidated various dispersed youth policy information into one place to enable young people to easily and quickly access the policies they want by establishing the ‘Jinju City Youth Online Platform,’ which will begin full operation from the 16th.
Until now, the city’s youth policy projects were scattered by project, causing inconvenience as young people had to spend a lot of time identifying the policies they were looking for. In response, Jinju City created the ‘Jinju City Youth Online Platform,’ which contains essential information for youth and simplifies the menu structure to enhance information accessibility and convenience, thereby resolving the inconveniences faced by young people.
Built as a campaign pledge of the 8th term Jinju mayor, the ‘Jinju City Youth Online Platform’ is composed of main menus such as ▲Jinju Youth Policy (employment, finance, housing, welfare, cultural policies) ▲Jinju Youth ▲Youth Proposals ▲Community.
Through this, the platform introduces youth policies promoted by Jinju City in various fields, supports diverse youth information, youth network activities, and an online community for policy establishment desired by youth, aiming to communicate interactively with young people.
On the platform, users can not only check project information but also apply for projects. Previously, projects such as youth interview suit rental and welfare support funds for young employees in small and medium enterprises, which required applications on separate sites, can now all be applied for through the platform.
Additionally, the platform will enable one-stop applications for various projects to be implemented in the future, including the newly planned 2023 youth certification exam fee support project.
For projects that cannot be applied for on the platform, links to the applicable websites are provided, and various related institution websites connected to youth policies are gathered on the platform to enhance convenience for youth users.
Easy login functions through Naver, Kakao, and personal authentication, real-time youth policy rankings, and demand-tailored policy searches allow users to find information easily. By setting interest areas by project, users can receive related project details via text notification services.
Mayor Jo Gyu-il said, “We promoted the establishment of this platform with the hope that our youth would know more about youth policies and participate actively. We hope that policy information necessary for each young individual will be delivered timely so that youth can receive more benefits. As interest in youth policies has increased, we will strive to actively reflect various policies proposed through the platform that the city has not yet discovered.”
