Yoon Pays Tribute at UAE National Cemetery... "Respect to the Devoted Heroes"

Visit to UAE National Cemetery 'Wahat Al Karama'... Scheduled Summit with President Muhammad

[Abu Dhabi=Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] On the 15th (local time), the second day of President Yoon Seok-yeol's state visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), he visited the UAE National Cemetery to pay respects. President Yoon left a message in the guestbook saying, "I pay tribute to the heroes who dedicated themselves to the nation and world peace."

The UAE National Cemetery, 'Wahat Al Karama,' meaning 'Oasis of Dignity,' was established to honor the spirits of public officials and soldiers who died in service to the country. In line with its purpose, the Grand Mosque is located to the east, and the Ministry of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff are located to the west. The cemetery features a visitor center exhibiting information related to the fallen, alongside the UAE's diplomatic and humanitarian activities, as well as the 'Plaza of Remembrance,' an outdoor amphitheater with a capacity of 1,200 people.
