The final entry list for the golf event at the 2024 Paris Olympics will be decided in June next year.

The International Golf Federation (IGF) announced on the 14th (local time) that "the participants in the golf event at the Paris Olympics held in July 2024 will be based on the official Olympic ranking derived from the world rankings," adding, "the men's rankings will be based on standings from June 13, 2022, to June 17, 2024, and the women's rankings from June 13, 2022, to June 24, 2024."

The Olympic golf event will feature only individual competitions for men and women. Each gender will have 60 participants. Each country can send up to two players. However, if a country has many players ranked within the top 15 in the world rankings, that country can have up to four participants. As of the 15th, the men's world rankings include nine American players within the top 15, the most of any country. South Korea's Kim Joo-hyung is ranked 14th, and Im Sung-jae is 19th. In the women's world rankings, South Korea has Ko Jin-young at 5th, Jeon In-ji at 8th, Kim Hyo-joo at 9th, and Park Min-ji at 14th.

The men's golf event at the Paris Olympics will take place from August 1 to 4, 2024, and the women's event from August 7 to 10. The venue is Le Golf National near Paris, and the competition format is a 4-round, 72-hole stroke play. At the Tokyo Olympics, the men's gold medalist was Xander Schauffele, and the women's gold medalist was Nelly Korda, both from the United States.
