"President Yoon Seok-yeol: Living in a World Where Lies Are Everyday"
The Democratic Party of Korea criticized the ruling party on the 14th for highlighting suspicions that former Ssangbangwool Group Chairman Kim Seong-tae paid legal fees on behalf of Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, stating, "The People Power Party is falling into the temptation of lies, but the people are not deceived."
On the same day, Ahn Gwi-ryeong, the Democratic Party's full-time deputy spokesperson, said at a National Assembly briefing, "It was a lawyer working at the same law firm as Lee's lawyer, not Lee himself or Lee's lawyer, who received money from Ssangbangwool," adding, "This money has nothing to do with Lee's legal fees."
Ahn sharply criticized, "The People Power Party is spreading fake news as if there is a connection between Lee and Ssangbangwool, but the one for whom lying is routine is President Yoon Seok-youl."
Ahn also stated, "During the presidential election campaign, President Yoon said that his wife, Kim Geon-hee, entrusted an account to a participant in the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation and cut ties after only suffering losses," adding, "However, with the release of a recording containing evidence of Mrs. Kim's direct instructions, it was revealed to be a blatant lie."
