President Yoon Should Dismiss Minister Lee Sang-min
Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated on the 14th that "we will prepare concrete measures to continue the fact-finding investigation even after the national inquiry" regarding the Itaewon tragedy.
On the same day, Lee said through his Facebook, "There is no complete healing without a thorough fact-finding investigation."
Lee pointed out, "No one is willing to take responsibility, and the president gave a pardon to Minister Lee Sang-min of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, who avoided responsibility with lies," adding, "The ruling party delayed and obstructed even the national inquiry, causing a series of secondary damages."
Lee urged, "The government should not try to overpower the bereaved families and the public," and requested, "The president should take responsible actions such as a sincere apology according to the demands of the bereaved families, the dismissal of Minister Lee, and prevention of secondary harm."
Lee said, "I will deeply remember the cry of a survivor who told other survivors to 'live diligently,'" and added, "Once again, I say this: it is absolutely not your fault."
