Snow Expected Until the 16th
A heavy snow warning has been issued for the northern mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, where heavy snowfall is occurring mainly in the mountains.
According to the Gangwon Regional Meteorological Administration on the 14th, as of 3 p.m., snow accumulation was recorded as follows: Hyangrobong 15.3 cm, Misiryeong 14.3 cm, Jinburyeong 6 cm, Guryongryeong 4.2 cm, Daegwallyeong 3.5 cm, Seoraksan 3.4 cm, Gangneung Wangsang 3.1 cm, Sapdangryeong 2.3 cm, Yongpyong 1.7 cm, Gangneung Seongsan 1.3 cm, and Seorakdong 1.1 cm.
On the east coast, rain will change to snow in the afternoon, and inland areas will see this change in the late afternoon. Heavy snow advisories are currently in effect for the central and southern mountainous areas and Taebaek.
This snowfall is expected to continue until the 16th. The anticipated snow accumulation is 20?50 cm in the mountains and northern east coast (with some mountainous areas exceeding 70 cm), 10?30 cm on the central and southern east coast (with some areas exceeding 40 cm), and 3?10 cm inland.
