Jang Je-won "Using Public Office Politically... Typical Weakness Cosplay"

"Timid Anti-Yoon Disguised as Pro-Yoon"
Jang Je-won Criticizes Na Kyung-won for 'Resignation Letter Submission'

Jang Je-won, a member of the People Power Party, submitted his resignation as vice chairman of the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee and criticized former lawmaker Na Kyung-won, who was dismissed, saying, "The behavior of politically exploiting public office has gone too far." On the 13th, he wrote on Facebook, "She is playing the typical victim role as if she is being persecuted and driven out of office."

Jang said, "Who in our party has received the most benefits? Who is the person holding two ministerial-level positions?" He pointed out, "Riding first class and receiving ministerial treatment does not make one a victim." He then questioned, "Is the vice chairman of a committee where the president is the chairman and ministers are members really a victim?"

He added, "A person who only pursues their own politics and pretends to be noble as if they are the most loyal to the president is a cowardly anti-Yoon disguised as pro-Yoon," and said, "Those causing trouble in our party are limited to Lee Jun-seok and Yoo Seung-min."

Former lawmaker Na Kyung-won stepped down from her position as vice chairman of the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee on the 10th. She had been in conflict with the presidential office after proposing the idea of a 'Hungarian-style loan forgiveness' as a low birthrate countermeasure during a briefing with reporters covering the Ministry of Health and Welfare. In political circles, it is evaluated that ahead of the People Power Party's leadership election, Na Kyung-won's potential candidacy was seen as a variable, prompting the presidential office and the pro-Yoon faction to check her. The pro-Yoon faction is backing lawmaker Kim Ki-hyun as the party leader candidate. If the highly recognized Na Kyung-won runs, the pro-Yoon vote could be split. Na has not yet announced her intention to run, but some interpret her resignation as a sign of her candidacy for the leadership election.
