Partial Two-Way Traffic Control on Samho-ro from the 17th to 18th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 13th that the installation of the pedestrian bridge in Seokjeon-dong, which began construction in March last year to improve the walking environment in Seokjeon-dong, was completed on the 12th and is scheduled to open from 7 a.m. on the 17th.
With the opening of the new pedestrian bridge, the pedestrian overpass connecting the old Seokjeon 1 and 2 districts, which was completed in 1993 and has served for 30 years, will be demolished. The demolition is planned to take place over two days from 9 a.m. on the 17th to 5 a.m. on the 18th, and traffic control will inevitably be implemented on the section from Seokjeon Underpass to Seomasan IC intersection.

Lee Sang-in, Director of the Construction and Road Division, said, “The Seokjeon-dong pedestrian bridge, a gateway passing through Seomasan IC, is expected to have high satisfaction among children and residents. Although there may be some inconvenience due to traffic control for the demolition of the old overpass, we ask for the understanding and cooperation of the citizens,” adding, “We will do our best to prevent safety accidents to ensure no risk of accidents for workers and vehicle drivers.”
