[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Kim Han-jong, the governor of Jangseong-gun, Jeonnam, held a 'Dialogue with Residents' in 11 towns and townships from the 3rd to the 10th.
According to the county on the 12th, this event was prepared to directly explain the direction of county administration to local residents and to collect various opinions.
A total of 186 proposals were received through the dialogue with residents, including ▲expansion and paving of farm roads and roads ▲small stream maintenance ▲installation of village city gas ▲continuous support for the agricultural sector (horticulture, fruit trees) ▲development of Jangseong-gun cultural tourism resources (Pilam Seowon, Chukryeongsan) ▲expansion of elderly welfare support (senior centers, filial piety rights), etc.
The county plans to deliver the proposals received through the dialogue with residents to the relevant departments, carefully review whether to proceed and future plans, and prepare solutions.
Also, based on last year's achievement of Jangseong's first '6 trillion won budget era' and securing special grants worth 6.4 billion won for 16 projects, the county intends to promptly promote urgent local issues.
Efforts will be accelerated for projects such as the construction of a connecting road between Samseo and Gwangju boundaries, reconstruction of small bridges and small-scale hazardous facilities, and reservoir repair projects.
The county will focus on the modernization project of Hwangryong Traditional Market facilities and fostering social enterprises, while issuing Jangseong Love Gift Certificates, which greatly help residents' lives and revitalize the local economy, increasing the amount by 5 billion won to a total of 35 billion won.
A parking lot will be created near Jugong Apartments and the old Bukim-myeon Administrative Welfare Center, and additional electric vehicle charging stations will be installed to improve transportation convenience.
The premium residential complex, Deokseong Happiness Village in Nam-myeon, is planned to be developed on a 540,000㎡ site with 2,000 households, aiming for completion in 2026.
In addition, in response to many local residents' requests, the supply of city gas will be expanded, and village-level LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) pipeline networks will also be increased. The modernization project of local waterworks and maintenance of aging water purification plants, which are directly related to residents' health, will be carried out without delay.
Governor Kim Han-jong said, "A happy Jangseong for residents is the core goal of the 8th elected term," and added, "We will reflect the proposals presented through the dialogue with residents evenly in county administration and create a new Jangseong through communication and harmony."
