[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] kt Cloud announced on the 12th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Arkonsoft to 'promote public cloud transition projects and expand Software as a Service (SaaS) services.' Arkonsoft, a subsidiary of Namu Technology, is a cloud-specialized company that developed 'Cocktail Cloud,' Korea's first cloud-native Platform as a Service (PaaS).
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly advance business in the cloud computing sector by combining kt Cloud's Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technology with Arkonsoft's cloud-native PaaS technology. Areas of cooperation include public cloud transition projects utilizing kt Cloud infrastructure, providing infrastructure and technical support to attract and expand SaaS services, and infrastructure education for software (SW) providers.
Public institutions planning cloud transitions can create various cloud environments, including closed and open types, based on the infrastructure and platform of kt Cloud and Arkonsoft. It is expected that scalability and availability of business applications can be enhanced even in multi-cloud environments, while reducing ancillary costs such as labor and management expenses.
Additionally, solution companies aiming to enter the public sector SaaS market can use Arkonsoft's 'Cocktail Cloud' to convert existing applications into a microservices architecture (MSA) for operation.
