Apartment Parking Lot on the Way Home from Work
During rush hour, two vehicles faced off in an apartment parking lot, resulting in a standoff lasting about 20 minutes and police intervention.
Recently, an online community called BobaeDream featured a post titled "Apartment Car Standoff." The post included a photo showing a white car and a black car facing each other in an apartment complex parking lot at dusk, both with their high beams on as if glaring fiercely.

The author explained the situation, saying, "I was coming home from work and saw two people in a standoff," adding, "It seemed like they had been having a staring contest even before I arrived." As time passed and other cars gathered, the two vehicles remained immobile, locked in confrontation. Eventually, a police car arrived, and officers were seen talking with each vehicle’s owner.
With police mediation and more cars stopping behind the white car, the black car finally reversed and backed away. Although the situation seemed to be resolved, the tension was not completely over. The author added, "The (black) car owner, outnumbered, reversed but seemed to get angry again and stopped," concluding, "It lasted about 20 minutes before it ended."

The uncompromising standoff drew criticism from netizens, who found both drivers hard to understand. Comments included, "The road is wide enough for both to pass, so why are they acting like this?" and "They should have gotten out and played rock-paper-scissors or something." Some even likened the photo of the two cars facing each other with their 'double headlights' on to an 'Ilgito' (a one-on-one duel between mounted warriors).
Meanwhile, others shared similar experiences. One netizen said, "I was in the passenger seat of a coworker’s car during the exact same situation. He was very proud of his car, and although the oncoming car didn’t move to the right and pushed forward, it would have been fine to just avoid it. But he just stood in the center, high beams on, as if saying 'Oh really?'" and criticized, "There are so many people living life like this, making things unnecessarily difficult."
