Boseong-gun, Recruiting Beneficiaries for Fishery Startup Housing Purchase Support Program

Up to 300 Million Won for Returning Fishermen Startups, Up to 75 Million Won for Housing Purchase

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it is recruiting candidates for the '2023 Return-to-Fishing Startup and Housing Purchase Support Project' until the 26th to support the stable settlement of return-to-fishing and return-to-village residents in fishing villages.

The support areas include ▲return-to-fishing startups and ▲housing. Startups in fisheries, aquaculture, and marine leisure can receive loans up to 300 million KRW, while housing purchase, new construction, and remodeling can receive loans up to 75 million KRW.

Those residing in rural fishing areas but not engaged in fisheries management can also apply.

However, applicants must have completed at least 35 hours of return-to-fishing related education within the past five years.

A Boseong-gun official stated, "If selected, the project such as startup and housing purchase will be actively promoted from March, and after completing the project by December 2024, loan support will be provided under the conditions of a 2% annual interest rate, 5-year grace period, and 10-year installment repayment."

Meanwhile, applicants must be under 65 years old, have lived outside fishing villages for more than one year, and have moved to a fishing village within the past five years.
