[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 9th, Jo Gyu-il, Mayor of Gyeongnam, inspected the site of the ‘Hope Bridge Connection Road Opening’ and the ‘Nae-dong Station Closed Station Park Creation’ and encouraged the related personnel.

About 10 people, including Mayor Jo, volunteer groups from Pyeonggeo-dong and Nae-dong-myeon, and residents, attended the site inspection, which proceeded with listening to residents' opinions, walking the pedestrian paths and the park.

The Hope Bridge pedestrian path was constructed with a project cost of 500 million KRW, installing an 80m long and 3.5m wide slope, and the Nae-dong Station closed station park was created with a project cost of 400 million KRW, including restrooms and tree planting. Through this, it is expected that citizens using the Namgang riverside will have improved accessibility by eliminating the inconvenience of taking a long detour.

Mayor Jo said, “By establishing infrastructure through connection roads linked to bicycle paths and park creation, we expect to secure convenience for citizens and contribute to the activation of bicycle use.”
