For My Devoted Fan, Father-in-Law... Bae Da-hae Donates 'Heavenly Voice' at UNIST Faculty Workshop

On the 9th, Bae Da-hae donated a song at the UNIST faculty workshop held at Paradise Hotel in Haeundae, Busan.

The fan is Bae Da-hae's father-in-law. The actor and singer appeared at the 2023 faculty workshop of Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), where her father-in-law serves as president.

Bae voluntarily offered her 'talent' donation to the two-day training program for university faculty held from the 9th at Paradise Hotel in Haeundae, Busan, out of love for her father-in-law.

When she passionately sang "Think of Me" from The Phantom of the Opera on KBS's "Qualification of Men - Harmony" episode and appeared on MBC's King of Mask Singer competition, drawing huge attention, Lee Yong-hoon, president of UNIST, was just one of Bae Da-hae's fans.

In the summer of 2021, President Lee was introduced to Bae Da-hae as a marriage partner by his son Jang-won, and with their wedding held in November of that year, President Lee met the musical actress who had been his fan as his daughter-in-law.

President Lee has always loved Bae Da-hae's singing, and the daughter-in-law decided to offer a special gift for her father-in-law.

Before the workshop dinner that day, Bae stood before her father-in-law and his colleagues for a short "fan meeting." Over 250 UNIST professors, exhausted from all-day research policy discussions and feedback meetings, burst into applause when Bae appeared.

One professor said, "Hearing the 'heavenly tone' that I had only heard through broadcasts or words right in front of me felt like pouring 'holy water' into my ears," adding, "Thanks to the president, I will remember this training as a joyful experience where I could enjoy a performance by a popular musical actress."
