Kim Bu-yeong, Changnyeong County Mayor on Trial for Election Law Violation, Found Dead

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporters Kim Wook and Lee Seryeong] Kim Bu-young, the mayor of Changnyeong County, Gyeongnam, was found dead on the morning of the 9th in a mountain near Bideuljae-gil, Changnyeong-eup, Changnyeong County.

The police discovered Mayor Kim deceased in the mountain at around 9:40 a.m. that day.

Mayor Kim was undergoing trial after being indicted on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act during last June's local elections.

The police plan to investigate the detailed circumstances of the death.
