Reduced Lift Waiting Time with Smart Gate
Enhanced F&B Facilities Including Buffet, Hansik Restaurant, and Cafe
Phoenix Pyeongchang announced on the 9th that it has opened all 17 slopes of the ski resort's Snow Park.
Phoenix Pyeongchang Snow Park focused on reducing the waiting time for visitors to ski during the 2022?2023 season. By introducing smart gates, visitors can use their mobile QR tickets by scanning once at the gate without additional inspection or verification. The number of group visitors is also limited to control the total number of users.
As a result, although lift waiting times used to average about 20 to 30 minutes on weekends due to increased visitors, this season, the ski resort explained that lift boarding is possible within around 5 minutes even on weekends. Additionally, grooming operations are staggered by slope, allowing visitors to enjoy skiing without time restrictions.
They also put effort into food offerings. Executive Chef Shin Chung-jin, formerly of the Blue House and domestic 5-star hotels, uses fresh ingredients from Gangwon Province to provide a variety of dishes year-round at the buffet restaurant "Ondo," as well as operating all food and beverage (F&B) facilities within Phoenix Pyeongchang directly, including "Wine Mariage," caf? "Aveto," Korean restaurant "Ondam," and Korean beef specialty "Pujutgan." The ski house lounge, which offers the best buffet, has also been operated continuously since last year.
Song Ho-young, General Manager of Phoenix Pyeongchang Snow Park, emphasized, "We operate the season prioritizing the comfort and safety of skiers' environment and high-quality F&B." He added, "Visitors to Phoenix Pyeongchang this winter can expect satisfaction and happiness beyond their expectations."
