POSCO Construction Wins Bangbae Sindonga Reconstruction Project... First Presentation of 'Otier'

[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Taemin] POSCO E&C is introducing its new premium brand ‘HAUTERRE’ for the first time in a reconstruction complex in the Gangnam area.

On the 9th, POSCO E&C announced that it was selected as the construction company with the support of 395 out of 449 union members who attended the general meeting for selecting the construction company for the Bangbae Shindonga reconstruction project held at the auditorium of Seoul High School in Bangbae-dong on the 7th. Bangbae Shindonga, located at 988-1 Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, is a project worth 374.6 billion KRW, consisting of 7 buildings from 3 basement floors to a maximum of 35 floors above ground, with a total of 843 households.

POSCO E&C applied its premium brand ‘HAUTERRE’ to this complex for the first time. The name of the complex built for the union is ‘HAUTERRE Bangbae’. ‘HAUTERRE’ is a premium brand launched by POSCO E&C in July last year to strengthen brand competitiveness in key areas of Seoul.

The exterior design of ‘HAUTERRE Bangbae’ was entrusted to ‘JERDE’, which designed landmark projects worldwide such as the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas and the Dubai International Financial Centre, and the landscaping was handled by the ‘STOSS Group’, led by Chris Reed, a professor of landscape architecture at Harvard University.

In addition, the complex features a 120m dual skywalk, the longest in Gangnam, on the top floor, and ultra-wide parking spaces measuring 3m in width and 6m in length will be provided at a rate of 2.4 spaces per household. By minimizing structural walls and adopting a column-type structure to efficiently arrange space, diverse floor plans such as penthouses, terrace houses, and duplex houses will be realized.

POSCO E&C plans to secure a competitive edge with ‘HAUTERRE’ in Yeouido, Apgujeong, Gaepo-dong, and other areas, which are considered the most competitive bidding grounds this year, as ‘HAUTERRE’ has successfully established itself in the Gangnam area of Seoul and secured a foothold for orders.
