Shinsegae Duty Free Busan Branch has been supporting approximately 18 million KRW over five years as living expenses and scholarships for underprivileged youth in Haeundae-gu, funded by donations raised through the Hope Delivery Campaign since 2018.

Shinsegae Duty Free announced on the 9th that its Busan branch employees donated about 2.4 million KRW collected last year through the voluntary salary-sharing program, the Hope Delivery Campaign, to help local youth maintain stable academic progress.

The donation ceremony took place on the 6th at the Haeundae District Office in collaboration with the Busan Community Chest of Korea. Kim Seong-su, Mayor of Haeundae-gu, and Han Se-gyeong, Manager of Shinsegae Duty Free Busan Branch, presented scholarships to underprivileged students facing educational blind spots due to difficult family circumstances, ensuring they have sufficient learning opportunities.

Han Se-gyeong, Manager of Shinsegae Duty Free Busan Branch, said, “We conveyed our heartfelt support through the small contributions of our employees so that the people of Busan can end the year in good health. We will continue to take the lead in becoming a duty-free store that serves as a model for sharing within the local community.”
