[Weather] Morning temperatures above freezing nationwide... Fine dust levels 'Bad'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] On Monday the 9th, the whole country will be mostly cloudy, gradually clearing up from midday.


Until morning, there will be raindrops or snow flurries in eastern Gyeonggi, Yeongseo region of Gangwon, inland Chungcheong, eastern Jeonbuk, and western Gyeongbuk; in the afternoon, there may be raindrops or snow flurries in Jeju Island.


From late at night, there will be occasional rain along the southern Gangwon east coast and northern Gyeongbuk east coast.


Expected precipitation amounts are less than 5mm for the southern Gangwon east coast, northern Gyeongbuk east coast, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo.


In eastern Gyeonggi, Yeongseo Gangwon, inland Chungcheong, eastern Jeonbuk, western Gyeongbuk, and Jeju Island, snow flurries less than 0.1cm or raindrops less than 0.1mm will fall.


As of 7 a.m. that day, temperatures are Seoul 3.8°C, Incheon 2.6°C, Suwon 2.8°C, Chuncheon -0.6°C, Gangneung 4.6°C, Cheongju 1.2°C, Daejeon 0.3°C, Jeonju 5.3°C, Gwangju 1.4°C, Jeju 8.7°C, Daegu -2.7°C, Busan 7.7°C, Ulsan 3.9°C, Changwon 0.6°C, etc.


The daytime high temperature is forecast to be between 4 and 14°C.


Fine dust concentration will be 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Yeongseo Gangwon, Sejong, Chungbuk, and Chungnam, and 'moderate' in other regions.


Daejeon, Honam region, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk are expected to have temporarily 'bad' levels in the morning, and Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Jeju region are expected to have temporarily 'bad' levels in the afternoon.


Raindrops or snow flurries that fell until morning may freeze on the ground, causing icy patches on roads in some areas.


Sea waves will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea and West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the South Sea coastal waters.


Wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea and West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea.
