Yang Geum-hee, Senior Spokesperson of the People Power Party, Comments on the 8th
"Go home and cry... Resign first"
[Asia Economy Reporter Geum Bo-ryeong] The People Power Party described Kim Jin-wook, the head of the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency, bursting into tears while singing a hymn at the New Year's ceremony on the 2nd as "utterly pathetic."
Yang Geum-hee, the chief spokesperson of the People Power Party, stated in a commentary on the 8th, "Perhaps because everything he does ends in disgrace, Kim, who leads the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO), which does nothing but waste taxpayers' money, suddenly broke into loud sobs," expressing this view.

Yang continued, "Isn't Kim the same person who shamelessly clings to the appointment letter he received from the Moon Jae-in administration and intends to complete his term?" He pointed out, "Perhaps feeling stung by the religious community's calls for his resignation due to religious bias, Kim is trying hard to hide the meaning behind his tears."
He also criticized, "From a common perspective and sense, the tears Kim shed might be a complex mix of emotions: remorse for failing to act as a loyalist to the previous administration that appointed him, anxiety about his future as he sees the CIO floundering, and shame for being the inaugural head of an agency that has become a group of tax thieves."
Then, Yang emphasized, "Hymns should be sung in church, and if you feel like crying, go home and cry. Of course, after submitting your resignation first." He added, "If the organization can be fixed, reform is the answer, but if it cannot be fixed even after reforming from head to toe, then dissolution is the only answer."
