[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Former Seoul City official Ahn Jung-ho, who served as the curator of the Hanyangdoseong Fortress in Seoul, has published a book titled Interpretation Techniques: Theory and Practice, drawing on his experience as a forest interpreter, natural environment interpreter, geopark interpreter, cultural tourism interpreter, museum and exhibition interpreter, fortress (doseong) interpreter, historic site interpreter, and village interpreter.

Interpretation Techniques: Theory and Practice?a book on demonstrations, scenario writing, and interpretation program development for natural and cultural tourism interpreters (published by Natural and Cultural Interpretation Education)?is structured around case studies to help trainees in the fields of natural and cultural tourism interpretation. It covers demonstration evaluations and interpretation delivery by forest interpreters, natural environment interpreters, geopark interpreters, animal interpreters, cultural tourism interpreters, museum and exhibition interpreters, palace interpreters, fortress (doseong) interpreters, historic site interpreters, and village interpreters. The book teaches how to write interpretation program plans (outlines), create scenarios (manuals), and develop interpretation programs, aiming to assist beginners in interpreter training courses.

The book organizes all aspects of interpretation, including the theoretical background of interpretation techniques, preparation stages, the process of conducting interpretation in the field, and training methods for interpreters to ensure smooth delivery, enabling readers to understand and grasp everything in one volume.

Former official Ahn said, "This book is structured to serve as a practical manual for institutions or organizations managing interpreters by including the concept of interpreters and a wide range of case studies. It is designed to be a valuable reference for interpreters active in various regions."

Published on December 15 last year, the book is reportedly selling well, with orders piling up at bookstores such as Kyobo Book Centre.
