46km section from Paju Unjeong to Yeonsinnae to Samsung

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 6th, Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong District, visited Yeonsinnae Station, where GTX-A construction is in full swing, together with the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to check the progress.

On the occasion of the 2nd Vice Minister Eom Myung-so’s visit, Eunpyeong District proposed plans for the creation of a complex cultural plaza at Yeonsinnae Station, early commencement of the northwest extension of the Shinbundang Line, and the establishment of Sinsagogae Station on the Seobu Line Goyang-Eunpyeong Line.

GTX-A Section 4 runs from Paju Unjeong through Kintex, Daegok, Yeonsinnae, and then to Seoul Station and Samsung, covering a length of 46.04 km. The total project cost is 2.9017 trillion KRW, and it is scheduled to be completed in June 2024.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong District, stated, “We will actively strive to ensure smooth transportation around Yeonsinnae and the creation of a complex cultural plaza for the residents.”

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the ‘107th Regular Dongjang Meeting Report’ held at 2 p.m. on the 6th in the small auditorium on the 6th floor of Nowon District Office.

Along with Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Kim In-cheol, Deputy Mayor, 19 Dongjang (neighborhood heads), and related department heads attended. The event proceeded in the order of awarding the 2022 Dong Community Center Operation Evaluation, welfare evaluation awards, the regular Dongjang meeting, Q&A, and agenda discussion.

The meeting topics started with a report on ‘Snow Removal Status and Improvement Measures for Snowfall’ followed by a report on ‘Cleaning Measures Utilizing Senior Job Projects,’ and then continued with related Q&A and agenda discussions among attendees.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, said, “I ask the related departments and Dongjang to make efforts to ensure that the issues proposed by residents to the Dong Community Center are properly addressed,” adding, “We will promptly review and handle the matters raised in today’s meeting.”
