Meeting with aides: "We must ensure vulnerable groups do not suffer from heating costs"
[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] On the 6th, President Yoon Seok-yeol gave a special directive, saying, "Ensure thorough on-site guidance so that public institutions operate heating temperatures at the discretion of facility managers to prevent citizens from suffering in the cold weather."
According to the Presidential Office, President Yoon held a meeting with aides on the same day regarding the restriction on heating temperatures in public institutions, stating, "Facilities used by children, the elderly, and those in poor health are exempted, but rigid enforcement on-site causes significant inconvenience."
President Yoon also urged, "Strengthen support measures for heating costs for vulnerable groups so they do not suffer from the cold."
