[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Lee Junhyung] The government has appointed three individuals, including Professor Kim Dongheon of Korea University, as heads of the Public Institution Management Evaluation Teams for this year.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced on the 6th that Professor Kim Dongheon of Korea University has been appointed as the head of the public enterprise evaluation team responsible for this year's management evaluation. Professor Kim Wanhee of Gachon University was appointed as the head of the quasi-governmental institution evaluation team, and Professor Son Wonik of Yonsei University was appointed as the head of the standing auditor evaluation team. A ministry official stated, "The newly appointed heads of the management evaluation teams are individuals with extensive experience, expertise, and leadership in academia and management evaluation," adding, "They are considered the right candidates to smoothly lead the management evaluation teams."
The Ministry plans to form the management evaluation teams by the end of this month, targeting candidates selected through recommendations from ministries. The management evaluation teams will officially begin the management evaluation by reviewing performance reports submitted by public institutions, starting with the 'Public Institution Management Evaluation Team Workshop' to be held in early next month. The results of the management evaluation for last year's public institution performance will be finalized by June 20 after deliberation and resolution by the Public Institution Management Committee.
