'The First Slam Dunk' popup store will be held.

On the 6th, distributor NEW announced that the animated film 'The First Slam Dunk' will hold a popup store at The Hyundai Seoul Iconic Popup Zone from January 26 to February 7.

The popup store will showcase limited edition Slam Dunk figures and character uniform packages. Collaboration products will also be available. Leisure goods brand Smith & Leather, chosen by singer IU, premium casual brand Aca White, and the popular self-photo studio Photomatic, loved by many artists, will be sold.

After the popup store at The Hyundai Seoul X The First Slam Dunk ends, another popup store is scheduled to be held at The Hyundai Daegu from February 10 to 22.

A representative from the importer SMG Holdings said, "Many people feel nostalgia for Slam Dunk, the legendary basketball manga, with the release of the theatrical version. We have prepared many high-quality goods so as not to harm the image of Slam Dunk."

'The First Slam Dunk,' which was released domestically on the 4th, is the theatrical version of Slam Dunk, first introduced in Korea in 1992, with direct involvement in directing and production by Slam Dunk author Takehiko Inoue. Famous lines such as "The left hand just helps" and "I want to play basketball" are so well-known that even those who have never read the original know them. The film depicts not only the appearance of the five members of Buk San High School but also the untold past story of Song Tae-seop, which was not revealed in the original work.
