[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Public Procurement Service announced on the 6th that it will implement the 'Seol Lunar New Year Livelihood Measures' to ensure early payment of construction fees before the Lunar New Year holiday and prevent delayed payments of subcontracting fees.
The target for early payment of fees is nationwide construction sites directly managed through the customized facility construction service. The Public Procurement Service plans to complete progress inspections by the 13th, review design changes and price fluctuations, and finalize contract modifications.
Currently, there are 28 construction sites nationwide managed by the Public Procurement Service, with construction fees amounting to 1.6 trillion won. Among these, construction fees estimated to be paid before the Lunar New Year holiday are approximately 33.8 billion won.
To prevent delayed payments of subcontracting fees, the Public Procurement Service will conduct on-site inspections of nationwide construction sites by the 13th, while simultaneously performing continuous monitoring through the payment confirmation system for construction fees, 'Hadogae Jigimi' (Subcontracting Keeper).
Furthermore, if any violations are found during on-site inspections or system monitoring, corrective actions will be taken in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Kang Sung-min, Director of the Facility Project Bureau at the Public Procurement Service, stated, "Through the Seol Livelihood Measures, we will do our best to alleviate financial difficulties and reduce management burdens for procurement companies, including small and micro enterprises."
