[Weather] Rain and Snow Expected Nationwide from Afternoon... Seoul Lowest Temperature -3°C

[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] On Friday the 6th, rain or snow will fall nationwide. Rain will begin in Jeju Island from the afternoon, and from late afternoon, most regions across the country will experience rain or snow.

Expected snowfall amounts are around 1 cm in western Seoul, Incheon, southwestern Gyeonggi, northern Gangwon East Coast, inland Chungnam region, eastern inland Jeonnam, southern inland Gyeongbuk, and western inland Gyeongnam; 1 to 5 cm in eastern Seoul, northwestern Gyeonggi, central and southern Chungbuk, eastern Jeonbuk, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island. Eastern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon, northern Chungbuk, and northern inland Gyeongbuk will see 3 to 8 cm of snow, while inland and mountainous Gangwon will accumulate over 10 cm of snow.

Rainfall will be 5 to 10 mm in eastern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon, northern Chungbuk, and northern inland Gyeongbuk, and around 5 mm in other parts of the country.

Morning low temperatures are forecast to be between -11 and 2 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs between 3 and 11 degrees Celsius. Fine dust levels are expected to be 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Yeongseo region of Gangwon, Chungcheong region, Honam region, Yeongnam region, and Jeju area, and 'moderate' in other regions.

In the central West Sea, there may be gusts accompanied by thunder and lightning, so caution is advised for maritime safety accidents. Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea coastal waters.

Wave heights in the outer seas (about 200 km from the coastline) are predicted to be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.
