[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Yeongyang County, Gyeongbuk, has formed and is operating the 2023 Joint Construction Design Team composed of 26 facility-related public officials since the 3rd.

On the 5th, Yeongyang County held a launching ceremony with the related facility public officials and announced that the joint design team would begin operations immediately.

Starting from this day until February 28, the team will be organized into six divisions covering road and bridge projects, agricultural infrastructure projects, water supply and tourism development projects, sewage projects, river projects, and resident wish and urban development projects, carrying out joint design work for a total of about 440 projects.

From the end of February, construction orders and groundbreaking will begin simultaneously, aiming to complete small-scale projects by May, before the start of the busy farming season.

Additionally, by listening to residents' opinions from the design stage and actively reflecting them, the team aims to minimize complaints and inconveniences to residents. The transfer of design skills between senior and junior facility public officials is expected to improve the practical work capabilities and achieve a budget saving effect of over 1 billion KRW.

Considering the current resurgence of COVID-19 infections in Yeongyang County, work is being conducted with as few personnel as possible, and utmost efforts are being made for COVID-19 prevention.
