LS Group Donates 2 Billion Won for Neighborly Love Fundraising

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] LS Group announced on the 5th that it donated 2 billion KRW in neighbor love funds to the Community Chest of Korea, also known as the Fruit of Love, to mark the New Year.

This year, six companies participated: LS Cable & System, LS Electric, LS Mtron, LS MnM, E1, and Yesco.

On the same day, An Wonhyung, President of LS Corporation's Management Support Headquarters, met with Hwang Insik, Secretary General of the Community Chest, at the Fruit of Love Hall on Sejong-daero in Seoul and said, "To create a sustainable future together, LS wants to contribute, even if in a small way, to raise the temperature of sharing love to 100℃ this year."

Since 2009, LS has donated funds annually to the Fruit of Love Community Chest. The donated funds will be used in areas such as basic livelihood support for socially vulnerable groups, improvement of education and housing environments, health and medical support, and strengthening social care.
