Changwon Special City Produces Special Edition Tattoo Museum Card News and Video for Visiting Fans
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Last December, it was revealed that RM (Kim Nam-joon), leader of the global K-POP top star BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan), visited the Moonshin Museum of Art, leading many fans to head towards Changwon Special City, turning it into a rising tourist destination.
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 5th that it personally produced a special edition of card news and videos containing viewing information of the Moonshin Museum of Art to respond to nationwide interest from numerous fans visiting the museum following BTS RM.
Moonshin, the tattoo artist who left the famous quote, "I work like a slave, I live like a commoner, I create like a god," was born in 1923 in Masan and was active in Paris, France. He held solo exhibitions in Hungary and Yugoslavia as the first East Asian and is recognized as a master of abstract sculpture representing not only Changwon but also South Korea and the world, celebrating his 100th birth anniversary in 2022.
The New Media Team of Changwon Special City is producing and distributing a ‘special edition card news’ containing the history of the Moonshin Museum of Art, RM’s selected works, and exhibition schedules, as well as the Shin PD’s special documentary ‘Moonshin Museum of Art Edition’ to allow people to fully experience the traces of the world-renowned sculptor Moonshin beyond just visiting the global top star’s visited place.
This video, featuring a dialogue between the city’s YouTube host Shin PD (Shin Seung-gyu) and Moonshin Museum curator Jung Seo-yeon, is scheduled to be released on the evening of the 6th through the official channel ‘Recommended Changwon.’
Lee Yoo-jung, Public Relations Officer of Changwon Special City, said, “Art has the power to transcend regions and ages, drawing empathy and harmony from many people. We welcome the visit of global top star RM and hope more people will see the value of Changwon through Mr. Moonshin.”
The city is actively promoting various information about Changwon through its official YouTube channel ‘Recommended Changwon,’ which has 22,000 subscribers, and social media.
