T?V S?D is an internationally accredited testing and certification organization that provides testing, inspection, certification, and evaluation services across various industries such as electronics, chemicals, and medical devices. It grants designated testing laboratory status by evaluating the analytical capabilities of laboratories according to strict assessment criteria.

Coway's Environmental Technology Research Institute was recognized as a designated testing laboratory in two fields: microorganism testing and environmental hazardous substances testing. These laboratories are responsible for evaluating antibacterial performance against bacteria and mold in major environmental home appliances such as water purifiers, air purifiers, and bidets, as well as analyzing organic compounds emitted from mattress products.
