Gokseong-gun, Apply for the Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher

Annual 200,000 Won Usage Voucher Card, Apply by February 28

[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jong-seon] Jeollanam-do Gokseong-gun (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) urged local women farmers and fishermen to apply for the 2023 Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher.

The Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher is a program that issues cards to women farmers and fishermen for use in cultural and welfare activities.

It can be used up to 200,000 KRW annually and is accepted in all industries except those typically excluded from subsidies, such as medical services and entertainment establishments.

Applications have been accepted since January 2 at the jurisdictional eup/myeon offices of the applicant's residence and will be accepted until February 28.

To be eligible for support, applicants must have had a residence in Jeollanam-do for more than one year as of January 1, 2023.

Additionally, applicants must be actively engaged in farming or fishing and be women aged between 20 and 75 years old (born between January 1, 1948, and December 31, 2003).

However, even if these conditions are met, some applicants may be excluded from support.

▲ Those with business registration or full-time occupations ▲ Those whose children are enrolled in high school or higher ▲ Those receiving similar welfare services under other laws such as the Munhwa Nuri Card ▲ Those whose non-farming income in the year before last (2021) was 37 million KRW or more are not eligible for the voucher.

Gokseong-gun plans to confirm the eligible recipients in March after verifying the qualifications once the applications are completed.

Women farmers notified as final recipients can receive their cards from April 5 at the NongHyup Gokseong-gun branch or local NongHyup offices.

The voucher usage period is from the card issuance date until the end of this year, and unused amounts cannot be carried over to the next year, so it must be fully used within the deadline.

A Gokseong-gun official said, “The Women Farmers Happiness Voucher card is a program to support cultural activities for women farmers living in rural areas. We hope the happiness voucher will bring joyful vitality to farming activities and rural life.”
