Dongseo University Graduate School of Business, Approved Master's Program in 'Cultural Content Planning and Marketing'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Graduate School of Dongseo University has received approval from the Ministry of Education to open an online master's program in the Department of Cultural Content Planning and Marketing.

On the 30th of last month, the Ministry of Education announced the selection results for 20 master's programs at graduate schools that will implement the general university online degree system.

The general university online degree system, established in February 2021, allows universities to operate the entire degree program 100% online with approval from the Ministry of Education.

Approved universities plan to operate using various online education systems such as metaverse (virtual space) campuses, VR (virtual reality) content, and online team collaboration tools.

Following the Ministry of Education's revision of the 'Approval Criteria for Online Degree Programs at General Universities' in October 2022, the Graduate School of Dongseo University submitted an application for approval of an online degree program to establish the Department of Cultural Content Planning and Marketing at the Graduate School of Business in November 2022.

Subsequently, an in-person evaluation was conducted in December of last year, and final approval for operating the online master's degree program was granted on December 30.

The Department of Cultural Content Planning and Marketing plans to train professionals specialized in planning, production, and marketing within the K-cultural content industry, and aims to attract educational demand in the cultural content field centered in the metropolitan area to the metaverse platform being developed by Dongseo University.

The department is part of Dongseo University's plan to accelerate specialization in design, digital content, video, and film fields, which is being promoted as the university celebrates its 30th anniversary and declares itself as "Asia's No.1 Cultural Content University."
