Naju-si to Recruit Students for 'Lifelong Education Program' Until the 20th

[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Han-hyeok] Naju City, Jeollanam-do, is recruiting students for the first half of the year lifelong education program at the Jungbu Senior Welfare Center from the 9th to the 20th to promote healthy aging and leisure and cultural activities for the elderly.


According to the city on the 4th, this course program consists of 22 subjects (30 classes) in the fields of 'informatics,' 'liberal arts,' 'health promotion,' and 'hobby leisure,' including practical subjects for daily life such as smartphone, video content, computer use, Korean language and literature, and English conversation.


Programs to promote elderly health such as yoga, line dance, silver gymnastics, as well as daily leisure activities like choir, harmonica, and acoustic guitar have also been prepared in a diverse manner.


The total number of students is 560, and any citizen aged 60 or older can participate. Applications can be submitted by visiting the office on the 3rd floor of the Jungbu Senior Welfare Center during the recruitment period.


A city official said, "We hope that through the welfare center's lifelong education, the elderly can spend a healthy and vibrant old age," adding, "We will continue to operate various lifelong education programs reflecting the hobbies and self-development needs of the elderly."
