Busan City and Five Major Religions Hold New Year's Greeting Meeting for the Year of the Gyemyo Joint Declaration of the Five Major Religions and Busan City.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] To welcome the Year of the Rabbit in Gyemyo, Busan City will hold the ‘New Year Meeting of the Five Major Religions’ at 4 p.m. on the 4th in the large conference room on the first floor of City Hall.


This meeting was organized to communicate with the five major religions under the slogan “We will catch two rabbits: hosting the 2030 World Expo and achieving citizen unity” to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit in Gyemyo, and to spread a message of hope for Busan’s harmony and leap forward.


The event is expected to be attended by Busan Mayor Park Hyung-jun and representatives and leaders of the five major religions: Buddhism, Christianity, Catholicism, Won Buddhism, and Cheondoism.


Mayor Park Hyung-jun and the representatives of the five major religions will announce a joint declaration at the event, promising cooperation on major city administration projects, mutual respect and harmony between Busan City and the five major religions, and a leading role in citizen unity.


According to the joint declaration, Busan City and the five major religions agreed to cooperate on major city administration projects such as hosting the 2030 World Expo, constructing the Gadeok New Airport, redevelopment of the North Port, and creating 15-minute cities and green smart cities.


They also agreed to continue efforts for mutual trust and respect based on the principle of equality, ongoing exchange and cooperation for Busan’s future and shared prosperity, and citizen unity.
