As a result, it received high scores in the disaster prevention measures implementation and facility inspection and maintenance areas, earning the highest comprehensive Grade A, awarded to the top 15% nationwide.
In the future, in the event of a natural disaster, the county will receive an additional 2% of the damage recovery cost from the national treasury and incentives when calculating the firefighting grant tax.
A county official said, "Due to the climate crisis, threats to everyday safety are increasing," and added, "We will do our best to create a safe Changnyeong by identifying potential disaster risk factors in advance, protecting the lives of residents, and preventing property damage."
