Hello. I am Won Hee-mok, President of the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association.
We support the start of the nationwide brain health project, the "Harumanbo Harucheonja" campaign. With the advancement of biotechnology and growing interest in healthy living, the term "centenarian era" is no longer unfamiliar to us. In particular, the development of the pharmaceutical and bio industry is realizing the dream of life extension by helping to treat and manage various intractable diseases such as cancer and rare diseases, enabling people to lead healthy lives.
However, the centenarian era (Homo Hundred) does not simply mean living longer but living well (Living well) in good health. To achieve this, continuous self-care by individuals must accompany not only medicines but also personal efforts.
The Harumanbo Harucheonja campaign, which means walking 10,000 steps and writing 1,000 characters a day, reminds us of the importance of our physical and mental health in daily life. Walking a lot to move the body and writing a lot to stimulate the brain is a simple yet effective method that shows results through consistency.
Moreover, amid the triple hardships of rising interest rates, credit crunch, and high inflation, the Harumanbo Harucheonja campaign can be a self-care method possible in daily life without economic burden. Through this, I wish health and happiness to everyone in the new year of 2023, the Year of the Black Rabbit. Thank you.
