[Joining the One Day Ten Thousand Steps and One Day Thousand Characters Exercise] Kang Do-tae, President of the National Health Insurance Service

Hello, I am Kang Do-tae, President of the National Health Insurance Service.


First, I would like to congratulate the launch of Asia Economy's 2023 Nationwide Brain Health Project 'Harumanbo Harucheonja' campaign.


The 'Harumanbo Harucheonja' campaign shares the same mission as our organization, which is to promote public health and social security and improve the quality of life for the people by widely raising awareness of the importance of health management through habituating healthy living.


The NHIS operates various programs such as walking exercises, the Healthy 100-Year Life Campaign, and the Healthy Lifestyle Practice Support Fund through the mobile application (The Health Insurance) to maintain a healthy life through daily health management.


In particular, the ‘Healthy Lifestyle Practice Support Fund’ is a program that awards points based on practicing healthy lifestyles and improving health conditions for those with health risk factors. It started with about 53,000 participants in its first year in 2021 and currently has around 120,000 participants, aiming to transition to a full-scale project by 2025.


We promise to continue our best efforts as the ‘Guardian of the People’s Health,’ and we hope that many citizens will participate in Asia Economy’s 'Harumanbo Harucheonja' campaign to contribute to improving health levels.
