Photo Line Seon Lee Gi-yeong "Sorry for Committing Murder"

Sent to Prosecution on the 4th, Face Covered with Mask
When Asked What to Say to the Bereaved Family, "I'm Sorry"

[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] "I am sorry for committing murder."

On the morning of the 4th, Lee Gi-young, who came out of the main gate of Ilsan Dongbu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province and stood at the photo line for reporters, said this. When asked by reporters, "Do you have anything to say to the victim's bereaved family?" Lee Gi-young replied, "I'm sorry." When asked further, "What are you sorry for?" he said, "I'm sorry for committing murder."

Regarding questions about additional victims, he briefly answered, "There are none."

Lee Gi-young will be sent to the prosecution on the same day. He is charged with robbery-murder, murder, corpse concealment, theft, fraud, and violation of the Specialized Credit Finance Act. Lee Gi-young is suspected of killing a taxi driver and his cohabiting partner.

The police released Lee Gi-young's age and facial photo, but there were criticisms that the actual appearance differed from the photo. Although there was great interest in revealing his face as he stood at the photo line that day, Lee Gi-young lowered his head and covered his face with a mask.

Meanwhile, it is known that Lee Gi-young buried the body of his cohabiting partner by the Gongneung Stream in Paju. The police are conducting a search operation using heavy equipment, but have not found the body.
