"Calling, Gaming, and Chatting on TV"... Samsung Electronics Unveils New TV Models at CES 2023 A Samsung Electronics model is showcasing various sizes of Micro LED products at the 'Samsung First Look 2023' event on the 3rd, ahead of the opening of CES 2023, the world's largest electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA.

[Asia Economy (Las Vegas, USA) = Reporter Park Sun-mi] #Watching soccer on an ultra-high-definition, large TV mounted on the wall while exchanging messages with friends through a chat window appearing on one side of the screen.

#When making a video call on the TV and needing to go out suddenly, continuing the conversation seamlessly by switching to a mobile phone without hanging up.

#Checking and controlling all SmartThings devices connected inside the house at a glance through the TV.

#When purchasing a robot vacuum cleaner for the first time, the TV automatically adds the new device connection without any separate setup.

These are the features of Samsung Electronics' 2023 TV new products unveiled at the ‘Samsung First Look 2023’ event on the 3rd (local time in the US), ahead of the opening of CES 2023, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition. With strong connectivity through SmartThings, the TV can now do more, such as enjoying video calls, games, and chatting while controlling electronic devices in the home.

The new 2023 Neo QLED model is equipped with ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) Upscaling’ and the ‘Neural Quantum Processor,’ supporting new functions such as ‘Ultra-fine Light Control’ and ‘Contrast Enhancement+’ to enhance the vividness and three-dimensionality of the screen. It automatically improves picture quality by identifying subjects contrasting with the background. Various Internet of Things (IoT) devices can also be directly connected and used through the TV. It supports ▲‘Live Chat,’ which allows real-time communication with other users watching the same content ▲‘Connectime,’ which supports video calls across various devices such as mobile phones and TVs on a large screen TV ▲‘3D Map View,’ which lets users check and control all SmartThings devices connected at home at a glance.

Samsung Electronics has also significantly expanded its Micro LED lineup this year, ranging from 50-inch to 140-inch models. Micro LED uses LEDs at the micrometer (㎛) scale that emit light and color by themselves without backlights or color filters, delivering the best picture quality. Additionally, Samsung’s OLED TV, first launched last year, now offers a larger 77-inch model alongside the 55-inch and 65-inch versions, providing consumers with more diverse choices.

Samsung Electronics also unveiled ‘The Premiere 8K,’ which enhances immersion like a movie theater, for the first time at CES 2023. ‘The Premiere 8K,’ an 8K ultra-short-throw projector, supports a screen size of up to 381 centimeters (150 inches).

The remote control for the 2023 TV new products uses bracket parts made with 20% recycled marine waste plastic materials, reflecting environmental considerations. Key components of the power board have also been replaced with 12% recycled aluminum cans and copper. The new products apply ultra-low power technology to improve power consumption and develop products with the same performance using fewer raw materials.

Kim Cheol-gi, Vice President of the Strategic Marketing Team at Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business Division, said, "We will continue to provide an enhanced user experience through SmartThings and introduce innovative technologies for a sustainable future."
