New Year's Address: 'Entrepreneurship Diligently Preparing for the Future'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] On the 3rd, Choi Pyung-kyu, Chairman of SNT Group, delivered a New Year's message saying, "Although the global economy is in a recession, there is hope for corporate growth."
In his New Year's greeting announced that day, Chairman Choi diagnosed, "South Korea is already at an advanced country level, each company’s crisis response capability has increased, and the system preparing for the future is systematic," conveying a positive message.
He added, "This is because the entrepreneurial spirit based on 'pessimistic optimism,' which constantly questions the present and diligently prepares for the future, still lives on in this land."
Chairman Choi continued, "With the power to affirm the future, we must focus more on researching and developing future core technologies and pioneering overseas markets in SNT’s core competencies: cutting-edge defense industry, ultra-precision automotive parts business, and eco-friendly petrochemical power plant business."
He also emphasized, "We must also strive to nurture talents who will become key players," adding, "In workplaces where the developing country generation, industrialization generation, and the MZ generation who grew up in the advanced country era coexist and work together, I urge active communication management so that everyone can challenge and collaborate toward common goals."
Chairman Choi Pyung-kyu reiterated 'Jeongjungyeosan (靜重如山)' cited in his founding anniversary speech last September.
Recalling Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s teaching, "Be quiet and heavy like a mountain!" once again, he urged employees, "When business is going well, prepare for crises, and when times are difficult, seek new opportunities and take on challenges. Never be complacent or discouraged in the business field, and approach your work quietly and heavily like a mountain."
