Goheung-gun, Strong Start for Hometown Love Donation Program

Leading Donation Participation Atmosphere with Opening Ceremony Performance

[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shim Jeong-woo] Jeonnam Goheung-gun (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that to spread participation and ensure the successful establishment of the Hometown Love Donation System, which is being implemented for the first time this year, Governor Gong Young-min and all staff carried out a promotional performance.

The performance took place on the 2nd during the opening ceremony, coinciding with the full implementation of the Hometown Love Donation System on the first day of the new year, declaring the start together with all staff with a strong drive toward love for Goheung.

The Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate to local governments other than their place of residence, and in return, the local governments provide donors with tax deduction benefits and local specialty products as gifts. The donations are used for various projects aimed at regional development and improving residents' welfare, such as ▲expanding local finances ▲revitalizing the regional economy ▲responding to population decline.

Previously, the county prepared for the system's implementation by forming a TF promotion team for the Hometown Love Donation System, selecting return gifts, conducting promotional activities through the county website, YouTube, leaflets, and establishing a dedicated team for the Hometown Love Donation System.

Governor Gong Young-min of Goheung said, “The Hometown Love Donation System is an opportunity that cannot be missed for the development of Goheung,” and expressed a strong will to achieve first place nationwide in the Hometown Love Donation System by stating, “We will actively pursue marketing policies with a management mindset to attract donations.”

Meanwhile, Goheung-gun selected the following as representative return gifts for the Hometown Love Donation System: ▲Goheung Love Gift Certificates ▲Goheung Mall Mobile Coupons ▲Buncheong Ceramics ▲Experience and Tourism Services ▲Weeding Service ▲Mobile Laundry Service. Service-related return gift suppliers will be recruited starting January this year.

Participation in the Hometown Love Donation System can be made through the online system (Hometown Love e-eum) or by visiting one of the more than 5,900 Nonghyup branches nationwide. When using a branch, donors must bring their personal identification (resident registration card, driver's license, etc.).
