Kim Seok-jun Retains Chairman Position

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Kim Gi-myeong, CEO of Global SeAH, has been appointed as the CEO of Ssangyong Construction.
Global SeAH Group announced on the 2nd that this decision was made through the 2023 regular executive personnel appointments.
The new CEO Kim previously served as the head of Walmart Korea, CEO of INDIF, and general manager of SeAH Trading USA. He is currently serving as the CEO of Global SeAH. He will concurrently hold the positions of CEO of both Global SeAH and Ssangyong Construction. Global SeAH stated, "He has extensive experience and expertise in accounting, finance, and human resources management," adding, "Based on this, he plans to stabilize Ssangyong Construction's management, improve its financial environment, and create momentum for a new leap forward."
Chairman Kim Seok-jun will step down from the CEO position but will retain his role as chairman. Ssangyong Construction said, "There are many expectations for Chairman Kim from Global SeAH," and added, "He will continue to lead the company with the leadership he has demonstrated so far in stabilizing management and expanding business."
Kim In-su, former head of the GDC Business Division at Hyundai Construction, has been newly appointed as president.
Meanwhile, the newly promoted vice president of SeAH Trading's General Management Headquarters, Shim Cheol-sik, will also concurrently serve as the head of Ssangyong Construction's General Management Headquarters.
