First Schedule of the New Year at Hyeonchungwon... Presidential Office Announces New Year's Address
[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] President Yoon Suk-yeol paid tribute at the National Cemetery on the first day of the new year and pledged a national administration direction of "re-leap."
At 8 a.m. that day, President Yoon, along with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, Cabinet members, and presidential office aides, laid flowers, offered incense, and observed a moment of silence at the National Cemetery's Memorial Tower.
President Yoon Suk-yeol visited the National Seoul Memorial Cemetery in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, on the morning of January 1st, the first day of the new year, to pay his respects.
President Yoon wrote in the guestbook at the Memorial Tower, "I will surely build a Republic of Korea that takes a leap forward again with the great people." It is reported that he shared a rice cake soup breakfast with Cabinet members at the Yongsan Presidential Office that morning.
At 10 a.m., he will deliver a New Year's address in the briefing room of the Yongsan Presidential Office. The address is expected to reveal the second-year administration's national direction centered on the keyword "re-leap," including the commitment to implement three major reforms in labor, education, and pensions.
