[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] NCSoft's new MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) title, "Throne and Liberty" (hereafter TL), revealed detailed game content through a Director's Preview on the 27th.
TL is a new title developed by NCSoft aiming to be the "next-generation MMORPG." It is planned to be released globally in the first half of 2023 on PC and console platforms.
Kim Taek-jin, CCO (Chief Creative Officer), emphasized, "We developed it as an MMORPG that everyone can enjoy across countries and generations," adding, "Under the slogan 'Play For All,' which means play for everyone, we present TL on PC and console platforms that best express and allow enjoyment of TL's features."
Development PD Ahn Jong-ok and Game Design Director Lee Moon-seop introduced TL's main features and detailed content. TL is characterized by ▲ a seamless world and dungeons that change according to weather and environment ▲ a narrative connecting past, present, and future ▲ a 'Free Class' system where roles change based on user choices ▲ and a PvP system where users can choose whether to participate.
Choi Moon-young, PDMO (Senior Development Manager), disclosed TL's service direction. Choi explained, "All elements of TL align with the service direction of 'Play For All,'” adding, “We will provide UX and UI tailored to each device, PC and console, and implement character customization features considering the diverse preferences of global users."
The 'Memorial' system applied in TL is a system where content is sequentially unlocked according to play progress, allowing interaction between users and the world. TL also plans to support mobile streaming play.
The TL Director's Preview can be viewed on NCSoft's official YouTube channel. NCSoft will continue to release information about TL through the newly opened brand site.
