"Actively Discovering Undervalued Assets to Maximize Value"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] YIDO CAPITAL Management, a subsidiary of Ido, an eco-friendly company and the only Value-up platform company in Korea, has completed registration and approval as a general private collective investment business from the Financial Services Commission.
The purpose of establishing YIDO CAPITAL Management is to value-up aged, deteriorated, or distressed real estate assets such as golf courses, offices, and hotels based on Ido’s capital and professional operational capabilities and ideas, while normalizing sales and profits to transform them into assets capable of generating stable investment returns.
Through this, investors are provided with opportunities to gain not only stable dividends, the traditional income structure of real estate, but also capital gains resulting from value appreciation. Furthermore, Ido aims to pursue a progressive management approach by separating ownership and management, a sophisticated management method, by obtaining stable operational income rights through professional operational capabilities and granting income rights of asset ownership to investors, thereby mutually checking and complementing each other in YIDO CAPITAL Management’s operations.
Park Sung-chul was appointed as the inaugural CEO of YIDO CAPITAL Management. Currently, Ido is the only company in Korea providing comprehensive real estate integrated operation management services encompassing PM (Property Management), LM (Lease Management), and FM (Facility Management) for prime offices and commercial facilities. It attracted industry attention by reducing the vacancy rate of the prime office City Square located in downtown Seoul from 100% to 0% within four months.
Ido also possesses expertise in value-up of golf course assets. It currently operates a total of five golf courses with 117 holes: Club D Boeun (18 holes), Club D Sokrisan (18 holes), Club D Geumgang (18 holes), Club D Geochang (27 holes), and Incheon Dream Park CC (36 holes).
Choi Jung-hoon, CEO of Ido, said, “With the establishment of this management company, we will meet the needs of domestic and foreign institutional investors who want to invest not only in early-stage real estate development but also in stable assets. We will showcase differentiated operational capabilities that actively discover undervalued assets and maximize their value in the market.”
